The ninth China International Gallery Exposition (CIGE 2012) recently staged a preview at the Exhibition Hall of the China World Trade Centre in Beijing. Galleries, mainly from Asia, have brought their treasured collections, including paintings, sculptures and installations, to the important Asian art gala. South Korea put up more exhibitions than any other Asian country in GIGE 2012 as China and South Korea mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

GIGE had added a new project called “Guest Country” this year and invited South Korean curator Lee Daehyung to organize a show, “Solid Illusion Beijing”, which showcases multi-media artworks by outstanding South Korean artists.
