All hands on deck: Our new content management system is here and we need YOUR help. Who does this affect? All of us. The way we publish to the web, social media and mobile apps is about to change for the better, but only with your support. Starting now, the project kicks into high gear for the remainder of 2011 and through all of 2012.
Last semester, the community came together and overwhelmingly selected TerminalFour as our CMS solution. With the goal of greater effectiveness, more flexibility, richer features and a friendlier interface, T4 represents a giant leap forward for our campus. But our road to success is challenging:
- all 600+ CMS users need to be retrained
- 100s of design templates, 100000s of pages and 1000000′s of digital assets need to be audited and/or migrated
- custom features need to be reassessed
- disruptions to the live website must be minimized or eliminated so the millions of visitors may continue to use LMU.edu without interruption
The good news: your Web, New Media and Design team have a plan in place to do the bulk of the work. But we can’t do it all without you. We need you to review our work, challenge us, collaborate with us on site improvements, and attend training. Most of all, we ask you to pardon the dust as we enter this virtual construction zone. A member of our team will be in touch with your department, but if you’d like the latest information, revisit this site frequently.
The gears are now in motion. If you have questions, issues or concerns, don’t hesitate to give us a holler: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
